About YäM Studio

YäM Studio is a heart-centered space supporting well-being through Yoga and Mindfulness

YäM (pronounced “ah” like father) is the chant sound of the Anahata, the heart chakra.  The heart chakra is associated with peace, contentment, joy, kindness, compassion and forgiveness, all qualities of our shared humanity.

YäM is also the acronym naming the studio and its focus: Yoga and Mindfulness

YäM is an inclusive space dedicated to cultivating qualities of the heart through yoga and mindfulness practices that support presence, non-judgmental awareness, inner and outer strength, resilience, healing and wisdom. These practices are offered so that we might cultivate a more gentle, honest and compassionate way of living.

What we practice here radiates outward. When we tend to our own hearts with awareness and care, we contribute to a more compassionate world. May what you discover within serve you and be of benefit to all beings every where.

What I appreciate most about Debbie is the depth of her knowledge and the integrity she brings to her teaching. Her classes are challenging and nurturing. The Studio environment feels peaceful and supportive. It’s a gift to learn from a skilled and genuine teacher.”

“In Debbie’s classes yoga becomes a conversation between body and mind, not a set of poses, but a felt experience.”
