Class Offerings
Yin Yoga
A slow-paced practice that centers on “stressing” connective tissues with the help of props and gravity to increase range of motion, strength and stability. Beneficial for joint health, organ functions and stress relief. Poses are held for up to 5 minutes making this a moderately intense class. Predominately a floor only practice with lots of props. Intermediate. (1.5-hour class; class size limit 4)
Chair Yoga
An accessible form of yoga using a chair for balance, stability, and foundation. Traditional yoga postures are modified for the chair while all the body-mind benefits of the postures remain. Great for those with balance issues. This style of yoga can also be practiced at your desk or on a long flight. Beginner – suitable for nearly any body or fitness level (1.25-hour class; class size limit 5)
Yoga Nidra
Translates as “yogic sleep” or psychic slumber; more than sleep, it is regenerative, calming nervous systems stuck in fight, flight, freeze. It is a guided style meditation practice that accesses brainwave states that can assist in nourishing and healing the body systems. This practice helps us come to know our true nature; learning to relate to thoughts, emotions, and life stuff in a more wholesome way. Life doesn’t change, we change. 45 minutes of Yoga Nidra can feel as refreshing as three hours of sleep. (.75-hour class; class size limit 6)
